DIRECTIONS

From the Greater Woodfield area...Take Route 53 North until the highway ends at Lake-Cook Road. Lake-Cook Road west to Route 12. Turn right on Route 12 to head northwest. Take Route 12 several miles northwest to Route 120. Turn left on Route 120, which is west. West on Route 120, past Route 31 in downtown McHenry. Continue on Route 120 west, past the stoplight at Ringwood Road (BP Amoco gas station on corner). The next right past Ringwood Road is Martin Road. Turn right on Martin Road, then left on Bennington. This is the entrance to the Martin Woods subdivision. Take the first right, which is Tomlinson. Site 6 is the 6th homesite on the right.

Inside, the home has many of the features Burnham Custom Homes is known for, including hardwood floors, oversized trim, and rounded corner-bead.

We're describing this home as "The Kitchen Home" because we designed the entire home around the kitchen. The kitchen features custom-built cabinets, granite countertops, and Viking stainless steel appliances. It includes 2 islands, a "quick-serve" pantry and a larger walk-in pantry. The kitchen is two-stories tall, with skylights in the ceiling and transom windows above the cabinets in the kitchen. There's also an overlook from the second floor looking down into the kitchen. While we've won awards in both 2004 and 2005 for our kitchens, this may be our best-designed kitchen yet.

The floor plan for the first floor is spacious and open. The dining room features a transitional butler's pantry from the kitchen. The angled staircase provides for great sitelines. The mud room is spacious and an attractive set of lockers. A study provides great views and functional space. The great room is very large, and connected to the breakfast area and kitchen for a spacious feel.

Upstairs, the home features 4 bedrooms, including a huge master suite with a walk-in closet large enough to include a dressing island.
